Avoid These Government Auctions

Through research and monitoring, there are a few websites that sell government surplus at the highest possible price conceivable. These are some of the sites that sell items at very high prices. However, you may use your own judgment and research before buying items.

Bid4Assets

Way too expensive. This website recently sold a boat worth around $150,000 go for $400,000. We know the government expect maximum dollars on items but sometimes their contractor get bidders to pay much more than the items are worth. Who regulates this government auction prices? Not the government. Remember that many of these items are seizures and repossessions.

There is one sure way to get Bid4Assets to lower these skyscraping open bids... and that is to not buy from the Bid4Assets website. There are too many other gov sales websites to purchase from besides this one.

AutoAuctions.gsa.gov

This Government Website are seriously lacking items. It seems like there are always low on items on a daily basis. However, there do have items to be auctioned off when there are ready to do so. Buyer beware: This website have a reputation of carrying a lot of damaged but driveable property. It's best to visit the location and take advantage of the pre-inspection period.

Also, this division does not sell seized vehicles. Seized vehicles are sold by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Department of the Treasury. See http://www.usdoj.gov/marshals or http://www.treas.gov/auctions/customs for more information.

SBA.gov

This website lacks items. In the matter of fact, this website has the lowest number of items to be sold to the public. When you do find an item you want you then may be frustrated by the lack of details disclosed on each item. The available properties usually are valuable but the prices seem to soar beyond most consumer limits. However, you may use your own judgment and research before buying items. click here
